The nature of the masterpieces is not to dazzle. Their nature is to persuade, to convince, to enter into us through our pores.
Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres
I started scribbling when I was wee little. At first it was just random stuff in notebooks and gradually I started drawing stick figures. But that was it, I never tried beyond that. I thought being able to draw and paint was for special and I didn’t have it in me. That was my opinion until I was 12 years old.
Since then to now, I have tired many styles including sketching, painting, craft, embroidery, glass painting and so on and I enjoyed doing them all. The way I see it Art is a manifestation of an energy dwelling within us. Sometimes it’s an expression of our deepest nonsensical thoughts and emotions. Yet, once out in the world it takes a wonderful shape.
Making sense out of it is never the point. What’s important is that you take that time to express your feelings. And directing that energy to outside word and realms is different from one person to other.
