Like the Stone Age rock paintings found among the Bhimbetka rock shelters, in Madhya Pradesh, are said to be approximately 30,000 years old. However we still don’t know anything about the ones who created those works. And while India was famous for its temples and artistic carvings, it was only in the 1800’s that Hindu art and paintings started making waves in the international scene.
